Author Talk: Plantation Goods: A Material History of American Slavery with author Seth Rockman In-Person
Seth Rockman will discuss his new book, Plantation Goods: A Material History of American Slavery, which explores the interconnectedness of Northern industry with the use of slave labor in the South. Rockman's book discusses how Nothern made "plantation goods", including textiles produced in North Kingstown, were essential in sustaining the slavery system.
Seth Rockman is an Associate Professor of History at Brown University.
Copies of Rockman's book will be available for sale and signing following the event.
