Historic Walk with Tim Cranston: Wickford Harbor In-Person
The Story of Wickford Harbor – Join Tim Cranston on an exploration of Wickford Harbor, its coves and salt marshes, and see how human activity has impacted it across the centuries. From the Narragansett people to its residents in the 21st century, Wickford’s residents and its harbor have been on a shared journey. We will begin at the rear of the library with a discussion of the intriguing EPA study of Academy Cove which is now underway and then head down the library path to West Main Street and stroll through history.
The walk will include a stop at the new footbridge over the Bush Hill Nature Preserve Salt Marsh and end at the Town Dock at the foot of Main Street.
The walk will meet outside the library.
Registration has closed.
