Faberge Egg Painting Workshop In-Person
The workshop is open to the whole family: adults, teens and children ages 6 and up. Learn about the folk tradition of Faberge egg painting and it’s history. During the workshop, participants will learn how to paint their own Faberge egg. Everyone leaves the workshop having painted their own beautiful pieces of collectible folk art on wood.
Presenter Marina Ekelova is a Russian artist and lecturer with more than 25 years of experience.Having graduated one of Russia’s most prestigious art academies, Mukhina Academy of Fine Arts in Saint Peterburg, she is well-versed in a variety of Russian traditional arts, history and Russian culture.
She has held multiple workshops with the RISD museum and university, as well as universities and community centers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
